[Plugin: Countdown Timer] Timer set by customer field

Hi fergbrain! Great plugin btw, well, once I can work out how to implement it within my needs 🙂

Firstly, it would work fine with this date format, yes?
2012-07-28 00:00:00

I am trying to figure out a way to set the date, in the format above, from a custom field.

I’ve been trying to read other support questions in an effort not to ask again…any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Would it be possible to set that date of it was in a custom field for each post? And if the field was empty, then display nothing?

I haven’t tried because I don’t know php but I did see somewhere that I would be able to use php and hooks to insert it into my posts – I have this template system that won’t let me use shortcodes.
