• This plugin was installed by a client, who removed it a few hours later. I received an email asking why I removed it, although I had nothing to do with it. So my email address was used without consent. That’s a privacy issue and has been reported to the WP Plugins team.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we have fixed the email collection in the plugin prior to signing up and creating an account in our platform.

The uninstall email is only sent to users who have an account in our system.
Your client created an account on our platform and thus agreed to our product’s ToS.
Since your email was listed as the wordpress website admin email, you received the uninstall email as well.

You removed the collection of the admin_email, but the email was sent to that address and not (only) to my client’s address who signed up to your platform. So don’t try to make it less bad.

The email was sent to all email addresses associated with the account, one of which is the wordpress admin email, regardless of the change we’ve made you would still get the email as you are listed as admin.

It is true we collected data about the wordpress website regardless of account registration but the data was unused.
This has been fixed now, so again, thanks for pointing this out and helping us improve.

There’s no right to use my email address, because I’ve never given you permission. Even if another admin on the website agrees to a ToS it doesn’t give you any right to use 3rd party’s data. So don’t make it look like that. Because by these replies you are only making it worse.
