[Plugin: cbnet Ping Optimizer] Multiple Pings on same post

    I’m using WPRobot to make posts using an hourly Cron job which makes one post from each of 4 campaigns. cbnet Ping Optimizer is randomly pinging the same post each hour for 2 – 4 hours and making multiple pings to pingomatic (extended format) on each post.

    For example, post-1 posts at 10:14 is pinged 5 times. It’s then pinged again, 4 or 5 times, at 11:14 and again at 12:15. Only one copy of post-1 actually appears on the site but it’s been pinged as many as 15 times.

    I’ve used the plugin in the past without these issues so I assume it’s something to do with either WPRobot or WordPress 3.01. Either way, it’s pretty disastrous. Has anyone else encountered it or have a fix for it?

    Same problem, maybe worse, pinging non-stop whatever the parameters I try.
    Constantly pings the same post.
    Keeps pinging posts I deleted weeks ago, ping log creates a database issue with thousands of entries in 24 hours if ever I forget to clear.
    For the moment it’s disactivated.
    I’m also using WP 3.0.1
