Are you using PayPal’s Sandbox for testing?…and if are, have you navigated down to “Error Logging & Debugging” and ticked the “Use PayPal Sandbox” radio button? Testing will not work without doing this and you will get that error.
Shaun
Yup – the box is “ticked”
When I try to update this option, however, I get the following warning
“Warning
Log file directory does not exist. /home/sparklew/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cart66″
Would this be an issue?
I copied the cart66lite directory (creating cart66) and it accepted the update.
Still having same problem tho’.
Do I have this right
On paypal, I have set up a sandbox account, with a test user.
On WordPress/my website I checkout and on paypal I enter the signin details for the test user to make the ‘test’
payment.
Have I got that bit right?
There is quite a tricky solution for this which has taken an age to sort out
Thanks to all who helped
P
raddy59 we just started testing, and have the same problem.
There is quite a tricky solution for this which has taken an age to sort out
Thanks to all who helped
So what was the solution?
Same Problem.
Please, what’s the solution?
To post the problem, then say you found a solution and not post the solutions is very frustrating. This is the only cart66 paypal security header issue to show up in google…
Please post a solution
I had an error on PayPal checkout:
“Failed to connect via curl to PayPal. The most likely cause is that your PHP installation failed to verify that the CA cert is OK”
…went to the checkout page in wordpress and changed the default shortcode from:
[checkout_paypal_express]
to:
[checkout_paypal]
and it worked. We were panicking after having inputting 100+ products and placed shortcodes everywhere.
Hope this helps someone!
@raddy59
You are defeating the entire purpose of a comminity help section like this by posting a problem that others are no doubt having, but not posting the solution, though you have found it.
Very frustrating.
@raddy59
Please post the solution, same issue here. It’s nice to ask people for help, and it’s just as considerate to return what you find, by posting solutions. Thank you.
Can Cart66 people also not take a couple minutes to post the solution, please? Doing so would go a long way to help them build community and sales – Increasing their own profit margin in the long run.
Thanks!
OK
Sorry to all but I have had a some very serious family problems this year which are still ongoing. My first time back here since March
It was a paypal sandbox setup pointing to a wrong paypal account, which was my fault. So it was tricky and the solution was out of my hands.
from what I recall the sandbox API was blowing me out of the water because Paypal didn’t recognise my account as a business account
Never used paypal express
Because someone doesn’t finish a thread doesn’t mean they are being negligent – events sometimes just get in the way
So no solution yet?
I’m having the same issue with sandbox mode. I have the pro version, so I’ve submitted a support ticket to the cart66 team and will return back here with anything helpful.
Same problem. How could we fix this issue?
make sure that you are using the sandbox mode api credential and not the regural account ones. that solved my problem!
