    Hello,

    Firstly, thanks very much for developing this plugin, it’s been incredibly useful in speeding up sites with Memeched.

    Recently, I’ve had to upgrade base Operating System to OpenSuse Leap 16 and noticed that this plugin has stopped working and crashed WordPress 6.8.3 due to mismatches between PHP versions – I’m aware that this plugin is tested up to 6.1.9. OpenSuse Leap 15.6 has PHP 8.2 so Memcached Object Cache installed with memcache-8.2.tgz via PECL worked fine, in line with the installation instructions for this plugin – all the way upto and including WordPress 6.8.3.
    However, OpenSuse Leap 16 has PHP 8.4.10 and probably many other distros are moving to newer versions of PHP too. So manually installed memcache-8.2.tgz does not match with PHP versions higher than 8.2, throwing errors.

    In order to fix this issue, I had to uninstall memcache-8.2 via PECL and remove the configuration file manually. Then, installed a matching PHP memcache extension from the OSs repo [repo-openh264]. Only then I was able to get Memcached Object Cache working properly again.

    Please consider updating your installation instructions to advise users on how to get your awesome plugin work with PHP versions greater than 8.2.
