Excellent plugin but please move the user settings menu item to somewhere else, or just to the user settings page.

Every plugin wants to add a top-level menu item now and it’s ruining the experience, please take a stand and help keep things neat! 🙂

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback!

I understand and sympathise, but honestly, based on experience, if I move something (this plugin has a long history – I wasn’t its original creator) I will then need to invest hours in responding to users who say “where did it go?” and replying to the others who say “we want it back where it was!” (in one of my other plugins the settings are in the ‘Settings’ menu and people ask why it can’t go up to the top level…).

I don’t know if someone’s written a plugin that lets you move these things around at will. I know of https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/adminimize/ which lets you hide them.

    David

I appreciate the frustration and can sympathise, but I still think it should be removed. 🙂 Perhaps a sticky would be the solution?

I won’t harp on about it if you disagree, marking this as resolved.
