Pingback not working

I’ve got a new blog using the Gardenia theme (http://thesearchforimperfection.com) and recently another blogger (http://the-grandma-blog.com) wrote a blog post and linked not once but twice in the same article to a recent post of mine. But on *my* post, I’m not showing any pingback. I’ve checked the settings and I do have the box for allowing pings and comments checked, so I don’t know if it’s something perhaps unique to Gardenia? Any suggestions? Links from other bloggers are key to growing my own blog and if there’s no “ping” then the whole system doesn’t really work quite right.
