PHP Upgrade Error

    Hi all,

    I’m running the latest version of Spacious, it’s looking and working great. However, I realized I was running php 7.4 (oops) -After changing to 8.3 the site breaks. I get an error: “There has been a critical error on this website”. I have tried disabling plugins without any success. So I assume it’s the theme.

    I enabled wp debug and see this: PHP Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the spacious domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later.

    and also: PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant ‘WP_POST_REVISIONS’ – assumed ‘‘WP_POST_REVISIONS’’ (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP)

    Any thoughts or quick fixes?

    I appreciate any replies!

    We’ve released an updated version of the theme. Could you please update to the latest version and check if the issue is resolved?
    If the problem still exists after the update, please let us know, and we’ll look into it further.

    Hello!

    I have updated to the latest version of your theme, I then tried moving to php 8.3 with the same results. Please advise.

    Hi @spamolicious,

    We couldn’t reproduce the issue with the latest version. If your site has any caching enabled, we recommend clearing all the caches and checking again.

    Also, just to confirm—are you using a child theme on your site?

    It looks like this may be more of WP issue than your theme. Thank you for looking into this, I’ll let you know how I get this resolved.

    Hello,

    Totally lost. Uploaded Spacious a few weeks ago so I could update my website. Php was not to the universes liking with the old theme. Took an act of Congress to get into the old site and got things changed. Now I can’t open the website with the updated theme as a visitor or get into the backside admin side. Any ideas how I can get into my website so I can fix something / anything?
