PHP 8.2.2 Login issue

So, the host updated the servers from php7x to php 8.2.2 And the theme developer has not caught up and had to add a cgi wrap to 7. However, when I tried to login to admin, the WordFence plugin failed. I got the area where I added the number check : 7+2 =9 eg. But the login button stayed greyed out. The host had to disable WF to allow me back in.

How do you know there was a fault with our plugin before your host disabled our plugin please?

Hello,

The issue appears to have been with the WordFence plugin. With this
disabled logins go through with out issue. I have left this plugin
deactivated for the time being.

Thank you for the update.

Can you deactivate the mathematical CAPTCHA plugin, activate our plugin and let me know if that fixes it.

I would if I could find it! Not sure what plugin is doing it. I don’t have another security plugin. Any ideas?

Please send your Wordfence diagnostics report.

Update to the latest version of Wordfence if you haven’t already done so.

Please send your Wordfence diagnostics report. Go to the top of the “Diagnostics” tab on the Wordfence “Tools” page. There will be a “SEND REPORT BY EMAIL” button to send the diagnostics report. Enter wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com as the email and jefferisp7 as the forum username please. Once you have emailed me the diagnostics report can you reply here to let me know that it has been sent. This is important in the unlikely event that your installation of WordPress is having an issue with sending mail.

There has been a delay because you didn’t let me know that you had sent the report.

The mathematical CAPTCHA on the login page is from the Jetpack plugin.
