The manage_options capability is required to manage all aspects of this plugin (add new permissions, assign permission to users, edit plugin settings).
I just wanted the option to appear when adding a new user and editing a user.
I was able to do this by adding “edit_others_pages” in lines 169, 335 and 367 of the class-simple-restrict-admin.php file. But I’ll have trouble when I have updates to the plugin… But I thought there might be some hook to add in functions.php

I have updated the plugin to include your suggestion. Now, the capabilities required are as follows:
The manage_options capability is required to edit plugin settings.
The edit_users capability is required to assign permission to users.
Any user who has the rights to edit a page also has the rights to assign permissions to the page and create new permissions.
