    Hello,

First of all, thank you for your work on the PatternsWP plugin. The idea of providing ready-to-use native Gutenberg block patterns is very useful and aligns well with our approach at WPDistrib.

However, we’ve encountered a noticeable performance slowdown across the admin area when the plugin is active — particularly when loading or editing pages with the Gutenberg editor. This slowdown disappears as soon as the plugin is deactivated.

Additionally, an automated test has flagged a PHP error in version 1.0.5, which may be related to this behavior. You can view the test report here:

Could you please look into this issue?
We would be glad to provide further technical details if needed.

    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    The WPDistrib Team

    Hey @lilybennett
    WPDistrib Team,

Thank you for reaching out and for your kind words about PatternsWP! We truly appreciate your feedback and the effort you’ve put into identifying these issues.

We take performance concerns seriously, and we’ll investigate the reported slowdown in the admin area and Gutenberg editor. Additionally, we’ll review the PHP error flagged in version 1.0.5 based on the test report you shared.

If you could share your WordPress & PHP versions and any other active plugins that might interact with PatternsWP, that would help us troubleshoot faster.

We’ll keep you posted on our findings. Thanks again for flagging this!

    Hi Mahdi,

Thank you for your prompt and thoughtful reply. I really appreciate the fact that you’re taking our feedback into account and investigating both the performance issue and the PHP error reported in version 1.0.5.

PatternsWP remains a promising and valuable plugin in our view, and we’ve decided to keep it in our WPDistrib setup for now, despite the issues. We’re happy to help improve it further and will gladly test the next version once fixes are implemented.

Please find below the technical details you requested regarding our WordPress and PHP versions, as well as active plugins.
