Paypal button missing on checkout page

Am using The Events Calendar plugin and when the user is on an event page and has adds a ticket and goes directly to the checkout page. The paypal option button doesn’t show.

If the user goes to the cart page first and then checkout – there is no problems with the paypal button.

I would appreciate any assistance or where to look to fix this issue.

Hi @pixelzoo,

The button also appears after reloading the Checkout page.
This looks like a potential conflict related to a new feature added in version 1.7.1.
Could you please give it a try with the previous version 1.7.0 to see if the behavior persists?

Thank you for your response. Yes I tried version 1.7.0 and the problem is now fixed. So It looks like you are right that there is a conflict in version 1.7.1. I won’t upgrade the plugin until I get go ahead from you that the issue has been resolved in the new version.

Thank you for the feedback.
The issue should be resolved when this pull request has been merged, which will likely happen for the 1.8.1 update in the middle of next month: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/pull/607

Since version 1.7.1 contains some useful improvements, we also created a package with a potential workaround based on the current 1.7.1 update if you’d like to give it a try.

Hi Niklas,

The package doesn’t resolve the issue.

I think there is no other solution except rolling back 1.7.0, right?

Hi Niklas,

I gave the 1.7.1 package a try and The paypal option button doesn’t show. So I reverted back to 1.7.0 and the paypal button works again – so I won’t update until the next plugin update 1.8.1
