Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<', expecting end of file

    Hi! I tried adding code to add recaptcha to my site. It was suggested to be added to functions.php yet I got this error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘, expecting end of file in /homepages/34/d179025760/htdocs/clickandbuilds/SupportingRoles/wp-content/themes/twentysixteen/functions.php on line 424

    I deleted the content and then copied and pasted the original code from the theme and I still get the same issue! Now I can’t access any other part of the dashboard and the site is down!

    I set up the site using the 1and1 wizard, so I don’t know if I can access the files via FTP.
