    Hello,

I have chosen 5 as number of listings to show per page to avoid having too much content on one page. In the backend I have 11 listings at the moment. The issue is that It shows only 5 listings on the page without any pagination to see the other listings. Is there a setting that I am missing or this is a bug/conflict?

    Kind Regards,

    Kaishav

    Hi @kaishav

Thanks for reaching out to us about this!

Can you please share the shortcode you are using on this page?

I can see the pagination is working on your main directory page here: https://miac.mu/business-directory/wpbdp_category/arbitrator/

    Please let me know!

    Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Ok let me explain…When I use the [businessdirectory] shortcode, and click on view listing on frontend, the pagination does appear. Unfortunately my client does not like the way that shortcode display the content because we have to click on “View Listing” to see the actual listings.

So instead I use 2 shortcodes on the page:
    [businessdirectory-quick-search]
    [businessdirectory-listings]

The first one displays the search bar and the second one displays the listings with thumbnails (which makes my client happy) BUT unfortunately without pagination. Hopefully you can provide a shortcode which displays all these.

    Kind Regards,

    Kaishav

    Hi @kaishav

Thank you for clarifying that for me!

You can include the pagination by adding a parameter to the listing shortcode. Please change the listings shortcode to the following:

    [businessdirectory-listings pagination=1 items_per_page=5]

Try that and let me know if that helps!

    Hello

This is awesome. Everything looks good now. The shortcode works. Thank you for the support. must definitely write a review soon because both time I was stuck, you gave me the proper solution in no time.

On another note I have a last little advice to ask. Is there a way to change the sending email of the plugin apart installing smtp? By default I assume the plugin is using the admin email, right?

    Kind Regards,

    Kaishav

    Hey @kaishav

You’re very welcome! Thank you for your kind words!

As for changing the sending email address used by the Business Directory Plugin without installing an SMTP plugin, by default, the plugin uses the WordPress admin email address to send emails. However, there is a hook wpbdp_email_from you can use that allows you to customize the “from” email address for directory emails.

You can find this snippet in our documentation here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/wpbdp_email_from/

If you have any other questions, please let me know!

    Best regards,
