We are running a totally private site (staff site). Must the “Allow Access” be set for each individual role? Basically my situation is we have multiple roles, but any of these roles should have the ability to access 99% of our files. The main criteria is that they are private and require the user to be logged in, as any role.

The testing I did indicates each role must be assigned to each file. For example, if I only assign subscriber not even an Admin can access it without Admin being added individually to each file. If all of this must be done manually we will have a nightmare.

Hi, If your site protected under login requirement you can set ‘Allow access’ to All visitors. As no logged in user can access site, there is no chance of accessing the downloads without login even it is set to all visitors. I think applying this approach you don’t have to set all user roles.
