    Is it possible to control the order that search results appear in on the non-AJAX results page?

    For instance, I’ve configured the plugin to search through product categories in addition to product titles and descriptions. Is it possible to show matches for product categories before matches for produt descriptions?

    Yes, you can change a plugin default ordering by using some custom code snippets. Examples can be found here.
