I’m using your image optimization plugin and wondering how to prioritize certain image formats over others. Is WebP compression enabled by default, or do I need to manually switch it on? Also, will it affect my current thumbnails?

    Hi,

    I’ll gladly assist you here!

There’s currently no way to prioritize certain image formats during bulk optimization in Imagify. However, if you want to focus on specific images, you can manually optimize them from the Media Library by bulk-selecting the ones you prefer.

As for WebP compression, it’s not enabled by default—you’ll need to switch it on manually in the Imagify settings under the “Next-Gen Images” section.

To control which thumbnails are optimized, head to the “Files Optimization” tab in the settings. There you can select which thumbnail sizes you want Imagify to process. Your original thumbnails won’t be affected—they will remain as-is, and WebP versions will be created alongside them.

Let me know if you’d like help adjusting these settings!
