    Hello,

I upgraded to PHP 8.3 from 7.4 where I had no issues and now I’m getting this warning when enabling debug:

Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called <strong>incorrectly</strong>. Translation loading for the <code>spiffy-calendar</code> domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the <code>init</code> action or later. Please see <a href="https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/">Debugging in WordPress</a> for more information. I am unable to reproduce this problem on my site using PHP 8.3. Can you describe what you are viewing when this message appears?

You need to enable debug in wp-config in order to see this message.
It appears on top of all pages in dashboard.
Please also note that it relates to translations and this particular site is in French language (frontend) while the Dashboard (backend) is in English.

How are you achieving the differing language on the frontend and backend? Are you using a plugin?

    Thread Starter John

    (@dsl225)

    No, not a plugin.
In Settings you define the frontend language (site’s language) and for each user you can change his own language and this will be used for the backend.

I have been able to reproduce the problem using French from France. Strange it didn’t happen using French from Canada. I will investigate further.

    Yes, strange. Thanks for checking.
