    Hello,
I’ve set up a recipe where the trigger is adding a user to a WishList member level and the action is sending an email but it doesn’t work.

If I change to “visit a page” works perfectly.

I think the problem might be that the user is not logged in… but I need to send him an email when he registers through a form and before he is able to enter the system.

    How can I do this?

Hi @nelsonemilio , thanks for the note.

Can you confirm whether you’re using the free plugin only or if you also have Automator Pro? The free version can only run recipes on logged in users; there must be a user associated with each recipe.

Pro can run recipes on anonymous users, but we need to support your anonymous trigger and it would normally need to be Automator that creates the user. I don’t quite follow what your form is doing, because it sounds a bit like you want to add a user to a member level before that user has been created (or has logged in). That wouldn’t be possible.

    Hi,
    I’m using the free plugin.

    The process is the following:
1 – User is created in the system after he buys a product
2 – User is added automatically to a WishList member through the integration from the cart system
3 – I wanted to send an email with the user reset link by using Automator when the user is added to the WishList level. This means the user didn’t access the system yet, so I need to find an alternative as I understand that Automator needs the user to be logged in to trigger the recipe.

We’re a bit stumped, but we do want to get more detail about how you’re selling products. It this a WordPress ecommerce plugin? If it is and it’s something we integrate, it might be better to trigger the recipe that way (though again, if you allow something like guest checkout then anonymous recipe support in our Pro version is required).

It does sound like it’s related to us not having a user to run the recipe against, but then we’re not sure how the integration in #2 is adding the member level properly if Automator isn’t seeing a mapped user when that happens. Well, unless the integration is (for example) making database entries directly and isn’t use WLM functions to add the level.

    Hi,
I’m using LeadCart to sell the product. When the user pays it will add the user to WishList Member through direct integration.
At this point, the user didn’t access yet to the system as It is not aware of the credentials created.
So I want to send him an email with the login and a link to reset the password as the user already exists in the system.

I understand now that as the user is not logged in I cannot trigger the recipe. I need to figure out an alternative 🙂

Ah. It looks like LeadCart isn’t a WordPress product I’m really not sure how their integration works. I unfortunately don’t think we could support this. I would say that outgoing webhooks from LeadCart would be a better approach to connect to Automator using the Pro plugin, but since I don’t know what else their WLM integration does, it seems like a risky path. I’m not sure we can suggest an alternative here (other than possibly using Pro and not the Leadcart/WLM integration at all).

    Hi,
Yes, LeadCart is not a WordPress product.
I now understand how Automator works and I think the only way is to buy the Pro plugin. Before doing that I’m looking at other ways to achieve what I want.

By the way, is there any possibility to include a delay in triggers? Does Pro version do that?
