Hi, I’ve authorized both the Buffer connection and social media connections. Set to auto-send for Posts. However when scheduling posts, nothing shows in the Buffer queue. I created a test post, but nothing shows in the Buffer logs either. What am I missing here? WP to Buffer v3.8.3, WordPress v6.1.1. Thanks!

Correct and expected behaviour, noting the status will show in the Buffer queue and log when the WordPress scheduled post becomes published.

If you believe your published WordPress Post is not in the log or the Buffer queue, feel free to provide a brief screencast / Loom video walking through the settings and steps taken to publish a WordPress Post.

Thanks for your quick reply. The plugin description had me thinking that posts would be sent to the Buffer queue when scheduled.

Automatically share Posts, Pages and Custom Post Types to social media when scheduling, publishing or updating your WordPress content

Ideally, I want the WP post and social posts to go live at the same time at some future date. Is this not possible?

Acknowledged; description to be amended accordingly. We deliberately do not send a status at the point a WordPress Post is scheduled, as the Post’s contents, Permalink and other attributes may change between scheduling and publication, therefore resulting in the status’ text being inaccurate. Further, there is no way for Buffer or social networks to obtain OpenGraph metadata on a scheduled WordPress Post (used for e.g. fetching the Post’s image), because its URL is not accessible until WordPress publishes it.

Use the Post Immediately option in the Pro version of the Plugin. This would post to social media within a few seconds of WordPress transitioning the WordPress Post from scheduled to published.

    Thank you!
