Having the same issue here.
Hello @leogc
Thanks for reaching out regarding your preview image. From the page source, I can confirm you have set this image as the Facebook & Twitter image. However, Facebook fetches this image instead.
I ran the homepage URL through the Twitter card validator and got this error: ERROR: Fetching the page failed because the response is too large
while Facebook sharing debugger reports – Unknown Image Error Provided og:image URL, https://infos-grancanaria.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Main-IGC.jpg encountered an unknown error.
Can you use another image that follows Facebook and Twitter recommendations?
@itai_tlv1 We are sorry you’re having the same issue. Please open a new request. That way, it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance. Thanks!

Thanks for following up.
Apparently, there’s currently a popular issue where Facebook is unable to fetch the og:image
, thereby reporting Unknown Image Error. You can read more in the Facebook Developer Community Forum. Please be on the lookout for when the issue will be resolved.
Same problem: it is no longer possible to show the cover of my articles. Do you have any correlations between the various plugins?
As mentioned above, this is not related to Yoast SEO. Facebook is currently having an issue, and you can read about it at https://developers.facebook.com/community/

Hi @maybellyne
ok, but what is with Twitter and Mastodon?
It takes a long time for your website to respond; checking the page source to see what you have as the Twitter image crashes my browser, so I can’t troubleshoot further.
I used the Twitter card validator for news articles and got this error: ERROR: Fetching the page failed because the response is too large.
It’s unclear what the issue is but I recommend speaking with your web hosting provider about this.
