Could you specify more clearly what is not working exactly?
I tried the live preview of the plugin and it all seems to be working as it should. Maybe there is a conflict with some other plugin?
Obviously the live preview does only test against the most recent WordPress version and no other plugins installed.

Here’s a video. Looks like it might just be the “hide on desktop” at least from what I tested here.

To me it looks like that you need to choose “wide” to hide it on that screen size. You can change the breakpoints with a filter, if you need to.
Just add 4 paragraphs with text (mobile, tablet, desktop, wide) and give all different settings and make the window bigger and smaller. Then you should see when they disappear.
To me it all looks like it should work as expected.
