Nice and should be in the core.

Not sure if it shows errors if an install goes wrong, does it?

Yes, errors will be shown when they happen. And yes, part of what we’ve built will be in 4.6.

Development of the plugin still continues though, so stay tuned!

Note that we’re also looking into shiny plugin activations including automatic rollbacks in case of a fatal error.
