• I can insert a gallery anywhere I want on my website but not in the NimbleBuilder. Shortcodes will not work, not even the shortcode widget provided by the builder.
On the live page it gives me the error.
    ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’ve already gotten a response back from NextGen:
“There seems to be a problem in how NimbleBuilder converts the shortcode’s placeholder instead of parsing the shortcode itself.”
I knew it was this builder code problem when it works with any other builders.

I’ll be really annoyed if I have to remake the page and not use this builder.

Hello @cmba, thanks for reporting this issue.
    I’m exploring it.

    Did you find anything?

It’s still broken on my page.

Never mind. I’m removing your builder and giving it a 1 star review. It has too much lazy code anyway.

Hello, no don’t do that please. I couldn’t find the time to work on this issue yet.
    I’m on it now.

Can you share an example of NextGen shortcode not working for you ?
    Thanks

From what I could see during my tests, when the shortcode is pasted in the editor of the shortcode Nimble module, it is not converted at first.

Then when I published and refresh the page, I can see the shortcode.

This is not ideal, but this is a work around for you.
Now we need to fix the problem of the gallery not being converted right away. I’m exploring it!

I’ve published, refreshed page, disabled my site cache plugin and still not working.

    This is the gallery shortcode:
    [ngg src=”galleries” ids=”6″ display=”basic_thumbnail” thumbnail_crop=”0″ number_of_columns=”4″]

This is what shows on the page:
    ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder

Another issue I found is that using the LightSpeed cache plugin completely breaks the editor. That’s mostly why I disabled it temporarily.

OK Thanks for those updates. I’m not able to reproduce exactly your problem. I really want to solve this issue and I’m pretty there’s a solution.
It would definitely help if I could quickly connect to your site with a temporary profile to reproduce the issue on your site.
Can you contact me at nicolas [arobase] presscustomizr.com ?
    Thanks !

Update : there’s a workaround that works fine with the current version of Nimble Builder.

So, to display a NGG gallery with Nimble Builder, it has to be inserted in a section located at loop_end ( see picture below ).

How to insert your sections in the loop_end location ? => When customizing with Nimble Builder, you may have noticed that there are several drop zones available for inserting modules and sections. When moving the mouse over the + sign, it expands and you can see the name of the location displayed as a tooltip.

We’re working on a possible compatibility patch so that NGG shortcodes could be displayed on any Nimble Builder Location.
Until that, this workaround will allow you to use NGG shortcodes with Nimble Builder on your pages

Thanks @cmba for your help !
