    Hi together

in the new release version it tells: All active installations will now use NinjaFirewall sessions instead of PHP’s.

I currently use PHP sessions and the full WAF Mode

Do I have to check something before making the update or will it work seamlessly?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Greetings

You can update as usual, NinjaFirewall will use its own session implementation instead of PHP’s. It should work seamlessly. After the update, go to NinjaFirewall > Dashboard and verify that there’s no error.

thanks for your response! So I don’t have to make changes on the user.ini etc?

There’s no need to change anything.

Made the update , showing no errors but want to check the following:

user.ini in root exists still with the auto_prepend_file is this still intended with using the ninja sessions instead of php sessions?

and in the mu-plugins folder is still the 0-ninjafirewall.php with the define variables like plugin dir lib/firewall.php

is all this like it has to be? didnt find a file that is showing me that I’m correctly using ninja sessions

    thanks in advance!!

The purpose of the .user.ini and the MU files is simply to load NinjaFirewall, it is not related to sessions. There’s no change to do to those files.
If you want to debug sessions, you can follow this post: https://blog.nintechnet.com/ninjafirewall-php-sessions-debugging/
