    Hi

I have a multisite with parked subdomains. The IPs on the parked domains are all set to point to the admin/main site, the DNS likewise. Two subdomains were set up last year seem to work fine inside the multisite. Adding two more now fail returning the error ‘Missing or invalid site address’.

The wp-config seems to be correctly set for domains and the URL seems to be correct in phpmyadmin. .htaccesss reads the same as in Site Admin.

Disabling plugins has no effect. I am the only admin. The webhost support looked into it but can’t see the problem.

Since finding this I found that I also now can’t log in to the two older subdomains that seemed to be okay – I am returned ‘Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser’. As I have no problem getting into other WP sites I assume this is part of the original issue.

    Any assistance much appreciated
    Ian

  • This is because your WordPress Multisite has subdirectory subsites. The Multi-Domains plugin will only work in a subdomain subsites network. Once you change your WordPress network to subdomain subsites, you can easily add new sites without any issues.

For more info please check the plugin usage section about it:

Please note: Multi-Domains is for sub domain installations only and will not work well for subdirectory installations.
