Missing field “mainEntity” (Google)

Hi everyone!
So after activating the Yoast SEO option, “faq page”, I’m getting this error.

Falta el campo “mainEntity” / Missing field “mainEntity”

on my FAQ page.
I’m using the plugin faq schema, but it seems that doesn’t solve the problem.

So how are you supposed to solve it?

Hi @pipfros,

Are you using the Yoast FAQ block on the page? Yoast SEO requires you to add your content using this block in order for the correct structured data to appear.

Yes, but I’m clueless of how you are supposed to do it. On the “faq schema” plugin I’ve written down all Q&A, but nothing else . Any link to a newbie’s guide?

We have tested the relevant page on our end by using the Google Structured Data Testing Tool and were able to reproduce the issue. We see there are multiple FAQ schema markups. We recommend you either use the 3rd party FAQ schema plugin or use the Yoast SEO FAQ block but not both as having same sets of multiple schema mostly causes conflict.

So, once you disable either of them, please do let us know so that we can test the issue again on our end.

Suddenly yesterday night, all of my site got FAQs- Missing field “mainEntity” error in webmaster. In all 5 sites, I am using Yoast faq block.

ON my test I can not find the

“mainEntity”: [{

in the code when tested through rich result test.

One such page is this

Please release the update to solve the error.

I am facing the same issue.

After the last Yoast plugin update I am getting the error Missing field ‘mainEntity’ in almost 7 pages. For example you can check this page computer kya hai..

Having the same problem….. The ‘mainEntity’ attribute exists. Could it be placed wrongly within the structured data?

It seems like the Yoast team is working on a fix. So this will hopefully be resolved soon! 🙂
