Hello there,
Happy to help you with this.
I am missing the customisation option of changing font of Site Title in Site Identity
This is a custom font that’s added by WordPress.com, and not included in Ixion itself.
To enable that same font on your new site you’ll either need to modify your theme’s style.css file, either directly or via a child theme, to use that font, or you can use a plugin like Easy Google Fonts.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-google-fonts/
The search function is not present on the top of the page
When I visit http://www.magnusreformas.es/ I am seeing the search button at the top of the page – just to check, are you seeing this here: https://d.pr/i/vcQb6z
I don’t have the option to pick one of the templates when creating a new page
These templates are built by WordPress.com and is a feature as part of that platform.
You can add some patterns to the page, as demonstrated here: https://en-support.files.wordpress.com/2020/05/block-patters.gif
When importing a page that was previously created in WordPress.com, the width size does not match, e.g. http://www.magnusreformas.es/ (at about us)
You might want to check the page templates, under the page attributes tab to see if they’re both the same.
Also, if a layout grid was being used on WordPress.com to create the page, this may need to be installed on your site, which can be done via this plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/layout-grid/
I hope this helps!
Hi Adam!
This has been such a great help! Thank you! 🙂
If I wanna have a translation option for my site, do you have any recommended plugin for the Ixion theme?
Looking forward to hear from you.
Sara
Hi there,
To clarify, is there an area of the theme that is not showing up in Spanish, even though that is the language you set your site to in WordPress settings?
If so I did not see any instances of that when I visit your site, but that is something we’re happy to take a look at if you can point it out.
If you instead mean you want to offer a translated version of your site in a second language, we don’t have a recommendation that is specific to Ixion, as WordPress translation plugins are designed to work with pretty much any theme. We’ve seen plenty of site owners use the translation plugins here with good success: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/translate/
The WordPress.org plugin directory only features free plugins, but there are also some good paid plugins (which are not listed here) that also work well: https://www.google.com/search?q=wordpress+translation+plugin
Hope that helps!
Hi Jerry,
Yes, I’m referring to a translated version of the site. Just wanted to check if there’s a recommended plugin from your site before starting on it.
Thank you for your help.

Jetpack will give you access to most of the built-in features on WordPress.com, though a few like customization may not transfer over. You’d be welcome to install that and activate it. If that feature is included, it will be on the free plan.
