@winterworks Please don’t do this.
In the very first sentence of the plugin description it says that video is part of MetaSlider Pro: https://imgur.com/a/BE3QS3m. Literally 50% of the intro is taken up by explaining this to you.
Then scroll down just a couple of sentences and we say it again: https://imgur.com/a/ueVx6lQ
Sorry, but I’m going to be blunt here … you are complaining, but you literally DID NOT READ THE PLUGIN DESCRIPTION AT ALL. You can’t have read a single word, because your complaint is answered multiple times in the very first paragraphs.
Update: now you’re spamming the same 1-star review on other plugins. Please don’t use reviews this way, Tobias.
Running around leaving multiple 1-star reviews on different plugins is not the way to get what you want, or to be a helpful member of the WordPress community.

That’s misleading to me. You claim a misleading plugin title + short description isn’t misleading if you put an explaination in the long description, I guess we have to agree to disagree about this.
And since I have tried both plugins and had the same bad experience, I have reviewed both. That’s not “spamming” that’s how reviews work.
Hi @winterworks. Thanks for the response.
There’s literally only 160 characters available in the title! Can you realistically expect us to label features as “Pro” in such a tiny space? That is why the plugin description exists – because there is room in the description to explain these things! And that is why we take such care to 100% clearly label all the Pro features.
Look, you can tell that we’re responsive and willing to fix valid problems when they are reported. What can we do turn this review around? How can we fix this to your satisfaction, given the tiny space available?
When it comes to reviews, my only request is that you review the plugin, please. Right now, your review is not about the plugin at all … it’s splitting hairs over text that describes the plugin.

Hi Steve,
thanks for replying, I do appreciate you being responsive.
What would make me happy is if there was “Pro Features:” or at least “Pro:” in front of the Pro features. That’s 4 out of 160 characters, plus a space maybe.
I don’t want to waste my time reading long descriptions just to find out if a “Video slider”-Plugin includes a Video slider. (that isn’t a pro feature)
I’m fine with plugins including paid extra features / enhancements. But regarding free plugins on the wp.org repository, I expect the core functionality advertised in the title to be free. If it isn’t, I consider it misleading. And it’s wasting not just my time, but also yours dealing with reviews.
Thanks @winterworks. If we update the short description to include the text (Pro) or something like that after “Video Slider”, would that be enough for you to correct the review, please?
Hi, I haven’t checked if the video slider is the only pro feature advertised in title / short description. Provided it is: Marking it with (Pro) would be enough for me to update my review.
@winterworks Thanks. Can you check now, please? I’ve taken the same approach as Yoast SEO and added “Upgrade to Pro for” to the short description.
For what it’s worth, if having a Pro feature in the title is a 1-star offense, you could be leaving these reviews on half of the plugin directory. For example, here are all the major SEO plugins advertising their AI features. Almost all of those AI features are restricted to the premium versions: https://imgur.com/a/bzfQyFe. Here are major forms plugins, offering payment features that are only in the premium version: https://imgur.com/a/WIhbbdS.

I agree that many other developers do this too, and it’s extremely annoying. Thanks for updating the description and being a good example. I will update my review.
Thank you too @winterworks, for the push to make our listing better, and for responding helpfully.
