• Hello there,

I am desperate to find someone to help me troubleshoot my issues with our website as we hare having technical difficulties for the past 3 weeks and our host doesn’t provide any support on the matter.

We suddenly are experiencing ‘max_user_connections’ errors, that can last for hours, and we have yet to find a fix.

PHP Warning: mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/1203): User o1008391 already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in /homepages/38/d849890463/htdocs/wp-includes/class-wpdb.php on line 1982

On a visitor side, you either end up on a database error, a server error, or just wait in vain. This issue never occured to us before. We are using Ionos (performance pack) as a a host for this website.

Our set values from host are as follow:
    Max_connections: 3000
    Max_user_connections: 20

We only generate about 10K visitors per day and yet, it seems like we are completely – and suddenly – flooding our database. We also have error 500 issues.

Whenever we try to get ahold of the host, we are told our WP_CONFIG is either missconfigured, or simply that our scripts/plugins are generating too many requests to the database, or that the trafic is too important. However, our trafic hasn’t increased, or decreased compared to the previous year. Also, our WP_CONFIG has been setup … 5 years ago. Our plugins have also not evolved much in the last couple years and everything is up to date. We have the lastest WordPress version, and are using Flex Mag Pro Theme.

Our plugins are: AD Inserter – Very Simple SSL – Widget Options – Disable Gutenberg – Header & Footer Code – Jetpack – Re-Add Justify Button – Tablepress – The IA Sticky Sidebar – WebP Converter for media – WPS Hide Login – wpdb Manager. Removing all of our plugins doesn’t seem to give us any slack or solve any of our issues there.

We also – during those downtime – cannot access phpmyadmin on our Ionos Back End.

So far, this is beyond our knowledge and i am looking for somebody to help me troubleshoot these issues. Our plan at Ionos should be way enough for our usage, yet we have alot of downtime during peak hours and our work has been deeply impacted by this situation.

I have been searching for informations on this matter lately, but i canno’t seem to find a solution to our problem here, or the support i read about is beyond my knowledge. I just don’t know why we would suddenly overflood the database when everything was working great before. Nothing was changed, tweaked or updated and it just suddenly started to fail on us.

If someone is willing to guide us or five us a lead, i would be really appreciative.

    Thank you for your consideration.
