Math Captcha doesn’t always work

Sometimes the captcha works fine and lets my customers complete their order, but too often customers can’t get the captcha to register and they either go away frustrated or, if I’m lucky, they call in to place the order. How can I rely on a plugin that only works intermittently? If I disable the Math Captcha, I get dozens of bot orders trying to test stolen credit card numbers.
