    Hello,

Just getting started with WPematico. Have some basic functionality set up and working well. Now I am trying to map a custom meta field (on one of our children sites) to a custom meta field on the mother site that will aggregate the posts. I have added the meta fields to the rss feed, but I can’t figure out how I can map them to the destination custom meta field. Is there a way to do this? Will I need an extension for this?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

    Hi @blgerber,

Thanks for your message and for using WPematico!

Yes, what you’re looking to do — mapping custom meta fields from the RSS feed into custom fields in the posts — is absolutely possible, but it does require our WPematico Professional extension.

The Professional addon includes two key features that will help you:

✅ Custom Tags: lets you extract any value from specific XML tags you’ve added to your feed (like your custom meta fields).
✅ Custom Fields: allows you to assign those extracted values into custom fields of the posts created by WPematico.

This way, you can seamlessly map the meta fields from your child sites’ feeds into the corresponding custom fields in your main (mother) site.

Let us know if you need any help setting it up or if you have other questions.
    Happy automating!

Thanks for the quick reply. That’s perfect, exactly what I’ll need. Have set up the base workings and very happy with the results so far.

    Have a great day!
