mailpoet cannot write to wp-content/uiploads

    When I open my WordPress dashboard, I get a message saying “MailPoet requires write permissions inside the /wp-content/uploads folder”. There is a link to a document explaining the permissions need to be set to 755, 775 or 777. My uploads folder IS set to 755. I changed it to 775 and it made no difference, I tried to set it 777 but got an ‘invalid’ error.

    Searching the forums I found an old (now closed) thread with an answer pointing to a non-English page that no longer exists.

    How can I resolve this please?
