Looking for a “currently…” plugin or script

Apologies if this has come up before – I’ve tried searching the forums and the plugin directory but I can’t seem to see anything and am not sure what keywords to search under.

I’m looking for a plugin or script that allows you to put a block of text in your blog’s sidebar saying what you’re currently listening to/watching etc. I used to use a very nice one (in conjunction with a plugin that let you use PHP includes inside pages and widgets) called PHP Currently from codegrrl.com. It had its own admin panel with customisable text fields, which worked really well for me. Unfortunately, it was taken down a few months ago because of security risks and there’s been no word on when a fix will be released.

I know custom fields work for individual posts but I was looking specifically for something that sits in the sidebar.

Does anyone know of anything like this around?
