Local Dev Site and Jetpack

Hey — I’m building out a site for a client on a local development server and was just getting ready to modify a child header.php file to include a logo image. Anyway, I stumbled somehow onto jetpack, which I know nada about, have dug in a little, and thought it might be handy for the client’s use once I turn the site over and go live with it. That said, I’m doing a bit stumbling over the wordpress.com log-in and use of this on a local dev.

Doesn’t look too possible but I haven’t rooted into deeply. Any words of wisdom?
