• Hi,

(this is not a support question, but an advise request for experienced users)

I am struggling with that for days, as all producers I have seen are not clear at all on this and have just workarounds to insure “yes we can” 😉

    • Which decent well-featured LMS plugin does use and keep native WordPress posts and categories as their native content ?
    • In other words, does NOT create its own custom post types for lessons and courses ?

(many I have seen propose a “conversion” … not only you’re stuck there, but you have usually far less editing and plugin options in their system, and rarely all WP native great features so as tag, search-wide, SEO and others)

    Thanks,

    F

  • I do appreciate your suggestion here in this and yes you can build a LMS system using the default wordpress posts and categories. However if you have carefully understood the concept of LMS you might have seen that there are basically three things needed :
    1. Course
    2. Lesson
    3. Topics.
the reason for keeping this seperate or in the form of custom post is that it will help admin to manage the things easily and also the linking of the courses -> lesson ->topics can be easily managed.
I hope I am able to provide you proper explanation of your query
