This looks a change on server side which has made the plugin stop working. Can you re-check smptp/email details, those might have changed. In troubleshooting page, do you see imap functions as available?

We have aplugin called WP-Mail-SMTP
It is currently deactivated – should we be using it?
Was this wp SMTP plugin recently deactivated?
For fiding out the smtp settings login to your hosting cpanel and then follow this link:

If you still can’t fix things, please send me your dashboard login and cpanel login in premium plugin support forum. I will try to check myself.

Does this help:
Outgoing SMTP Server: mail3.gridhost.co.uk (or mail.bgen.org.uk for non-SSL if you prefer, but if you disable SSL, please use port 25)
SMTP Port: 465
SSL: On
SPA: Off
SMTP Authentication: On
