Limited amount of strings?

I have the Virtue theme by Kadence and a Home Image Slider on my homepage. The Polylang Theme Strings plugin seems to pick up only the 8 first strings from the slider (I have 13 images in the slider with both titles and captions).

There was a way to increase the amount of strings the plugin picks up by editing a file but I have totally forgotten how and where to do it. And an update to the plugin has discarded the code editing.

Could someone please point me to the right direction here?
