Hi. I tested several plugins for lazy loading images. This plugin increases LCP compared to some of the others.

I’m not sure if its code is up to date or what dependencies it has jQuery, maybe?

If it relies on jQuery, remove that dependency and use native JS instead.

    Hi,

From the plugin description we can read:
    > No JavaScript library such as jQuery is used, and the script weight is less than 10KB.

Numerous factors can be connected to the LCP result. So it will be hard to give a reason.
Is it the same for every page? specific pages?

A few months ago, the code was updated.

Yes, I noticed that you didn’t use jQuery. However, the issue still persists and is slowing down the LCP (by up to one second). There might be some problems in the PHP implementation.

When I disable the plugin, the LCP improves. I’ve even tested other image lazy-load plugins, and none of them have slowed down the LCP as much as this one.

Can you provide a page example ?
