Sorry about the issue!
We added some additional compatibility with WPML in the 2.12 update. We received a similar report from another user so we changed the code that checks to see if WPML is both active and usable in an attempt to correct the error.
Have you tried version 2.12.1? I just tested version 2.12 and 2.12.1 with Polylang installed and didn’t seem to have the same issue.
If you are able, you could take a look at the PHP error logs yourself or contact your host to see what the specific error was. I can definitely fix it then!

Yes, I tried 2.12.1 also. That didn’t work for me. Got this error:

Thanks for the details! I can see how this error might occur.
I’ll add a fix for this in the next release. In the meantime you can stay on your current version with no problem. There are no critical bug fixes that you are missing out on for the moment.
