jQuery validator security vulnerability

Thank you for this amazing plugin! I would like to a report a Security Vulnerability that was disclosed about the jquery-validator library that the plugin uses. It was pointed out by a security report made in my website. Would you consider updating this library to a safer version? Here is the report:
