JoinChat violates Meta policies – WhatsApp event warning

Hello,
I’ve been running sales campaigns for months using the JoinChat plugin on my WordPress site, and the JoinChat event is a key part of my Meta Ads strategy.
Recently, Meta started showing a warning on the “JoinChat” event in the Events Manager dashboard. The warning says:
“This event violates Meta’s Commerce Policies or Advertising Standards and will be excluded from ad measurement and optimization.”
This is extremely serious. All my ad sets are optimized for JoinChat events, and this could compromise months of data and campaign optimization.
✅ I tested everything. I even removed the auto-filled message in the button to test if it was the problem — it was not.
✅ The phone number used is real and belongs to my business.
❌ There seems to be a systematic issue with how JoinChat is triggering the event, possibly causing Meta to interpret it as a policy violation.
🔍 I can provide screenshots of the Meta warning if needed.
➤ Please investigate this issue immediately, as JoinChat is widely used and this could affect many advertisers who rely on this plugin for WhatsApp interactions.
