Hi, this site keeps crashing and we can’t figure out how to fix it. We have found several hits when searching the internet with this error, it happens more often apparently. Unfortunately there is no solution mentioned anywhere so i hope you can help.

The error indicates that a jetpack file is trying to load, but Jetpack is not installed on the site anymore. It was in the beginning of 2024 and was deleted.

Reverting back to a standard theme and disabling all plugins but Woocommerce seems to help at first, but then on activating, removing or updating plugins, the site randomly crashes again with the same error.

Reinstalling Jetpack and deleting it again didn’t help.

I cannot delete the php file ‘class-php-autoloader.php’ or the folder it is in, as this also makes the site crash.

How can this issue be resolved? I made a staging site https://staging2.inzicht.org/ and can give you access if needed to look into it.

    home/customer/www/inzicht.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/vendor/jetpack-autoloader/class-php-autoloader.php:90

WordPress 6.7.1 theme: Inzicht child theme of latest Enfold theme PHP version 8.2.27
    Hoster: Siteground

    Update:

Staging site crashed and could not be fixed. New staging site = https://staging3.inzicht.org/

On both live and staging site Jetpack is reinstalled. Now we could enable all plugins and the site is visible, but running any available plugin update creates the fatal error again.

    Hello there,
Sebastian from Jetpack here. I hope you are doing well.

There may be something installed on the site that’s causing problems. The best way to find out if something is interfering is to test for a theme or plugin conflict. You can do that by following these steps:

    1. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Jetpack, and clear your browser’s cache.
    2. You can reactivate plugins one by one, and
    3. Update the plugins, checking after each one to discover which one is causing the problem.
    4. You can leave that plugin deactivated and/or contact whoever makes that plugin to resolve the issue it’s causing.

If deactivating plugins doesn’t help, it may be your theme.

    1. Temporarily activate a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Four.
    2. Then, try again. If the problem is fixed, then you know it’s a problem with the theme. You can contact whoever makes the theme to resolve the issue it’s causing.

You can see these theme troubleshooting steps in detail in our Troubleshooting manually guide.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi there, @eigenwijsheid,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
