Hi.

I’m trying to reinstall Jetpack on our staging server, so i can properly deactivate the license key. However i’m getting the error ‘An error occurred. Please try again.’ anytime i try running the setup.

I’ve check on the web for a solution and can confirm https://staging.tregothnan.co.uk/xmlrpc.php exists and returns XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only ok.

The staging server is protected by a password however it’s worked fine before until this moment.

Hi @tregothnan

Jetpack requires active access (HTTP response 200) in order to connect the site correctly.

In this case, since you added a basic auth password to the site, Jetpack is not able to connect.

I recommend you temporarily remove the basic auth protect password and proceed with the reinstall.
