GoDaddy support helped me get my site up from localhost to my GoDaddy hosting account. Unfortunately something went wrong during the transfer because the site is missing most of it’s content. GoDaddy says they can’t help me unless I pay for a wordpress support package for my account (I can’t afford to do that). So now I don’t know what to do and thought I might find some advice here.

Some additional information regarding the transfer process
    – Backup was made of WordPress Folder containing website
    – In PHPMyAdmin…Database associated with website was exported to a .ZIP file
    – Filezilla was linked to GoDaddy Host
    – Default WP-Content Folder was replaced with Wp-Content folder containing actual site.
About 10,000 files were moved over.

    Thanks in advance! 🙂

The people at GoDaddy gave you bad instructions.

Download this script then upload the directory to your web site’s root. Search for http://localhost:8888 and replace with http://LakeNonaLuxury.com

Okay I downloaded the script, would I upload the directory to the public_html folder on FileZilla? To the CPanel on the GoDaddy account? Or locally on the website root I have on my computer?

    Thanks 🙂

upload the directory via filezilla to the public_html folder after unzipping locally.

Okay great! How would I go about running the script once it’s sitting in public_html?

Please read the directions on the interconnectit site.

Done. Now I get a splash page with an option to login to GoDaddy’s CPanel.

So at this point, it’s probably a good idea to talk to GoDaddy tech support.

I’ll give that a shot. I’m just wary about their support help since that’s how I got into this mess in the first place. Thank you for the help though. I appreciate it.
