• Hi all, recently I got this message:

    Charitable: Stripe Webhook Security Setup. Charitable was unable to automatically configure webhook signature verification for Stripe. Please visit your Stripe settings and click “Enable Webhook Signature Verification” to secure your webhook endpoint.”

    Given that, If I go to Stripe settings and I click on “Enable Webhook Signature Verification”, I get the message below:

    “Webhook signature verification is active. Incoming Stripe webhooks are cryptographically verified. Refresh Signing Secret. Unable to configure webhook signature verification. Please ensure your Stripe API keys are valid and try again, or disconnect and reconnect your Stripe account.

    The point is that I do not use the Stripe Api to connect to stripe, but I use the (only) “standard” mode that charitable offers, that is the login to stripe & its autorization to connect, that is succesfull. I tried several times to login/logout to/from Stripe but I always get the error message on webhook.

    On the other hand, inside stripe, I have the webhook setup correctly inside Stripe:

    https://champagnesocial.club/charitable-listener/stripe — Active — 10 events

    How can I solve it and eliminate the webhook error? Please help me. Regards

    @fcoerezza thanks for reaching out!

    I want to start by reassuring your Stripe integration is working correctly. The notice you’re seeing is a reporting mismatch following a recent update. Our new setup tool is currently optimized for all cases and because you are using the Stripe Connect method, the plugin is simply being over-cautious and triggering a warning even though your connection is perfectly healthy.

    You can safely ignore the notice for now and apologize for the confusion. We are releasing an update after the weekend to refine this logic specifically for Stripe Connect users, which will clear the message.

    I’ll be happy to ping you here once that update is live so you can grab it and clear the alert. Thanks for your patience and let me know if you have any questions. 🙂
