I’m trying to create a page that uses the standard Buttons block with three buttons. I assumed this would be straightforward: add a Buttons block, insert three buttons, and set the text for each one.

Each button is set to 25% width and centered. The Buttons block layout is set to Justified with Horizontal orientation, and I’m using the default WordPress theme/template.

This works fine on desktop. I expected that on mobile the buttons would automatically stack vertically and resize, since the theme is responsive. However, on mobile the layout doesn’t look correct — all of the buttons become very elongated.

If I change the layout to Vertical and set the buttons to 100% width, it looks fine, but that’s not the layout I want. I assumed the responsive behavior would handle this automatically.

I’ve also tested the same setup on the WordPress Playground and see the same issue there.
I’ve supplied a test page to help.

Is this only fixable via CSS which I was hopping I would not need to do this with a responsive set.

  • @locka This is the support forum for the free version of the theme.

You’re using the Premium version, so it’s best to contact us (WPZOOM) directly.

I checked your website, and your theme is outdated. Such an issue is not occurring in the latest version of the Premium theme you use. I also see that you asked for a refund for your latest renewal, so it’s better to renew your theme license and then update it to the latest version.

    Thanks for your response.

What I find strange is that I’m seeing the same issue on a version I created first in WordPress Playground. That was a completely brand-new WordPress install (using the light/free version, without a license), and the issue still occurred.

Because I was experiencing the problem on both setups, I decided to post using the live site, as the Playground test site is only accessible to me.

I do understand that our site needs upgrading. I just need to obtain approval from the club before I can proceed with that.

I assumed this forum would at least be monitored by them since it’s there theme and Id expect them to want to make sure that any issues someone might have is not something putting people of using there theme. Happy to try and figure how I contact them directly.

    Thanks for your help

@locka I checked on my end in the Inspiro Lite version and the buttons are stacked correctly on mobile: https://prnt.sc/8uscm1d8bHep

There are certain factors that could influence and cause this issue on your end:
    – plugin conflict
    – using third-party block plugins with additional block settings
    – certain button or layout settings
