Is the plugin really based on React?

I have a question. It does not seem to me that the plugin uses React, but through javascript it waits for the document to be complete, and then shows it to the user (and is also logged in the console). For this reason the browser loading is not displayed.
But therefore, in fact, the higher speed is a perception: if you disable JS in the demo, almost nothing changes.
Am I wrong?
