Integration with contact form 7

    Good Morning,

    I have an issue with the integration with contact form 7.

    I tried everything but when someone submit the contact form, no subscriber is added nor the doble opt in email is sent.

    Any idea? I just don’t know what else to do.

    Have you looked into the log on the Other page of the MC4WP plugin?

    Hey Lab, thanks for your reply.

    I know what is happening. In my contact form 7 I have some more fields than “name” and “email” which are required in the mailchimp list fields.

    When I deleted those fields in my contact form 7 and in the mailchimp list then it worked perfectly. But the fact is that I need those fields…

    Any idea?

    It should not be a problem to have more fields but it can be a problem if you have required fields in your MailChimp list. That issue should be visible in the log though.

    Have you looked into the log on the Other page of the MC4WP plugin?
    If you get any error there I can help you further.

    @lapzor,

    I read in the knowledge base that we have to use labels if we want to add additional fields to mailchimp but I also read that labels work differently in contact form 7 when using select field (drop down menu). I’m aware of the use_label_element instead of label but I still don’t have a clear picture of how to write that. I’ll appreciate a clear example.

    For example if I creat a drown down thus:
    [checkbox your-country use_label_element “China” “India” “San Marino”]

    How do I link this to mc4wp in order to have the choice saved in country field of my mailchimp list

    Ok fixed it. I didnt need the use_label_element in my case. I just needed to change the field name “country” to mc4wp-COUNTRY since I’m using MailChimp for wordpress Plugin; where “COUNTRY” is the tag name of the field in MailChimp.

    PLEASE take a look at the log on the Other page of our plugin, if it is about a required field missing there should be an error visible there.

    I’m going to close this case as “resolved”. If you still have some problem with our integration please create a new ticket and include the error that is visible in the log on MailChimp for WP > Other.
