Found my plugin was no longer syncing with WooCommerce. Tried to reconnect but plugin wouldn’t load. Uninstalled plugin and re-downloaded latest, installed, and activated.

Tried to connect my account, but got this error:

Mailchimp says: API Request Error CURL error :: Connection timed out after 30002 milliseconds on 2707 in /home/vw4ia5sn/thelastlamplight.com.au/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/api/class-mailchimp-api.php

@jonesy77 Hey there could be quite a few different reasons as to why an API Request Error such as this can occur. This means we’ll have to do a few troubleshooting steps to help narrow it down to the root issue.

If you have direct access to your server could you use the following guide to use Curl to see if it’s possible to connect with Mailchimp via your server. We’re trying to find out if the server that your website is hosted on is being blocked from connection. (This can also happen for myriad of reasons, that are at the content delivery network level).

How can you find your data center?

The root url for the API is https://<dc>.api.mailchimp.com/3.0/. The <dc> part of the URL corresponds to the data center for your account. For example, if the data center for your account is us6, all API endpoints for your account are available relative to https://us6.api.mailchimp.com/3.0/.

If you’re able to connect to Mailchimp then there could be a possible plugin conflict. Could you try using the WordPress Troubleshooting plugin which makes it easy to disable all other plugins except for WooCommerce and Mailchimp.
